Experiences with ACSB

At the end of my football career, Willem-Jan helped me make the transition from professional football to amateur football – and with everything that came with it: creating a new identity beyond ‘being a footballer’, learning to talk about how I really feel instead of keeping everything to myself, and learning to see the opportunities in life after football.

Now, years later, I still have a perfect sparring partner and friend as a result!

I came to know Willem-Jan as an exceptionally amiable and sincere person. He is attentive, has a perceptive eye for his surroundings and for the people he works with. At the same time, he is driven, performance-oriented and remarkably well-balanced.

As an employer, you can rely on Willem-Jan and confidently entrust him with responsibility. He delivers, is loyal, takes ownership and requires little direction or supervision. In my view, it is precisely this combination of people focus, independence and results orientation that makes him a strong coach, advisor and sparring partner.

I worked with Willem Jan for several years and always found him to be someone who keeps his word. He secured a substantial deal with the University of Amsterdam for our company and then personally ensured that the project was brought to a successful conclusion. Pleasant to work with, committed and results-driven — an approach I still look back on with great appreciation.
